Fake news on social media: Understanding teens’ (Dis)engagement with news

چکیده
This article takes a qualitative approach to examine the role of fake news in shaping adolescent’s participation news. Instead experimental approaches that are common with similar research, current study expands our understanding teenagers’ engagement on social media using focus groups, interviews addition reviewing research reports by Norwegian Media Authority. The found is positively related teens’ Contrary younger audiences have weak ties brands, this shows teens Norway led back mainstream corroborate and fact-check negates my initial assumption was bad because perspectives show as triggering discussions around encountered media. Teens engage for verification, which drives them off toward conventional good journalism
